Review Schema
Markup for ratings and reviews, including who wrote them. It feeds the star ratings in search results, and gives an assistant something concrete to cite about your reputation.

AI Search
Searching by asking a question in ordinary language and getting a written reply, rather than typing keywords and choosing from links. It changes what a website has to do: be readable and quotable by a machine, not just findable.
AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
Answer Engine Optimization is the work of becoming the source that answers a question rather than one of ten links offered. It matters because search increasingly replies with a written answer, and only one or two businesses get named inside it.
Zero-Click Search
A search where the person gets their answer on the results page and never visits a website. Common for opening hours, definitions and conversions — and increasingly common for everything else as AI answers grow.
MCP (Model Context Protocol)
An open standard for connecting AI assistants to outside tools and data in a consistent way. It matters to businesses because it is how an assistant might one day query your booking system directly.
Prompt
The instruction or question you give an AI. The wording matters more than people expect: the same request phrased two ways can produce noticeably different answers.
RDFa
Another attribute-based markup standard for embedding machine-readable facts in a page. Less common on business websites than JSON-LD, and largely equivalent in what it can express.
